From Field to Town: Chronicles of North County History
The book combines in one volume local history articles written between 2004 and 2008 by North County freelance writer Vincent Nicholas Rossi. The articles first appeared in the San Diego Union-Tribune’s Sunday column, “The Way We Were.” The stories cover north San Diego County inland communities from Poway to Fallbrook, San Marcos to Warner Springs. Poway stories include the Poway Community Church, the McFeron family, Homer Williams and the coming of water, and the Tassell family.
